What amount and quality of gold does a unit represent?

The oldest obsession. The newest frontier.
A memecoin born from the digital-gold moment.
Gold was never short on believers.
It was short on connected infrastructure.
Different vaults. Different rules. Different exits. The same metal, trapped in products that don’t work the same way.
On 19 March 2026, the World Gold Council and BCG published a plan for shared digital-gold infrastructure: Gold as a Service.
The actual announcement
THE OBSESSIONThe institutions wrote the blueprint.
The internet found the lore.Digital Gold is our independent meme around that shift—not a token issued by the WGC.
Issuance is one moment. This is the operating system around it.
The connecting layer synchronises physical inventory and digital records. Issuance, transfers and redemption stay tied to the product’s gold records.
Reconciliation is the bridge—not a decoration.
Your product. Your brand. Your customer.
The issuer owns the proposition; shared infrastructure handles the underlying operations.
ORIGINAL PROJECT ART / NOT WGC EQUIPMENTWhat kind of gold exposure? Where can it be offered? What are the fees and permitted uses? The product comes before the token.
Not involved at this stage.
Defines the gold exposure, intended uses, markets and fees.
Provides standard templates, operating requirements and control options.

Permissions, limits, approvals, monitoring and product-specific controls. A transfer can need a whitelist. A mismatch can need a pause. Legal rights still matter.
The WGC vision links custody records, digital units and legal entitlements. Gold Link makes one part tangible: what happens when the numbers disagree.

Fictional records. One sample gram per demo unit.
These are not Digital Gold token balances.
Difference: 0 sample grams. Demo operations enabled.
Browser-local teaching model. No reserve verification, custody, on-chain issuance, transactions or redemption. In a real system, matching numbers alone would not prove ownership or backing.
Keep token supply aligned to physical inventory records with continuous reconciliation and evidence outputs.

The idea: pair Digital Gold with a separately verified gold asset. Internet culture on one side. A gold-linked counter-asset on the other.
A market pair does not make our coin gold-backed. It creates no gold price peg, claim on a vault, or redemption right.
That’s the hard part. The proposal aims for products that can move between trusted systems without forcing a sell-and-rebuy.
For that to work, three things must line up.
What amount and quality of gold does a unit represent?
What do you own? What are your custody and redemption rights?
How are custody, reconciliation, assurance and transfers actually handled?
Mobility, payments, collateral and deeper liquidity are possible outcomes of the proposal—not live features or promised returns for this memecoin.
The proposal is real. Our artwork and interpretation are independent.
WGC + BCG. Published 19 March 2026.
Fragmentation, proof of backing, operational and legal risk.
Connected evidence, continuous reconciliation, trusted digital rails.
Three layers. Issuer responsibilities. Tokens and accounts.
A concept-design initiative, not evidence of a launched WGC coin.
Allocated gold, fungibility, backing and redemption.

No. This is an independent memecoin concept with no WGC affiliation, physical-gold backing or redemption rights. The proposal is shared infrastructure for issuers, not a verified WGC coin launch. Its current scope excludes end-to-end gold ETF support and is separate from wholesale Pooled Gold Interests (PGI). It does not establish a GLD-issued token.
The WGC/BCG report and cited diagrams are real publisher material. The illustrations, Gold Link name and browser sandbox are our independent creative work. No ticker, network, gold counter-asset, contract or trading pool has been verified for Digital Gold. There is no live custody, reserve oracle, token issuance, exchange or redemption integration.
No. The report discusses pricing-feed risk, trading-hour mismatches, governance discretion, contract and key failures, legal fragmentation and cross-border compliance. Custody, ownership, fees and exit rules need independent verification. A matching numerical record alone does not establish valid legal rights or physical backing.
Not on this site. Trading remains unconfigured until a chain, exact contract and official trading venue are supplied and verified. A similarly named token is not proof of identity. Memecoins are speculative and can lose all value.

The meme. The machines. The whole pixel-gold world.
Take the artwork and make something golden.
